Beer Selection – restaurants in Munich
Sustainability and gastronomic harmony with the seasons - chefs Dominik Käppeler and Tobias Bacher spoil you with creative combinations in an eight-course menu that changes every 14 days.
The hosts know their trade - in the kitchen as well as in the wine selection. Wonderfully unpretentious place with really good and refined food (lots of fish), a lunch option and an evening menu.
Sustainable, seasonal, regional - the from-farm-to-table concept relies on local suppliers and the cultivation of herbs, fruit and vegetables in the English Garden.
The highlight of the menu is the sharing dinner menu. The fillet of beef is flambéed and carved at the table - and a lobster upgrade is possible. A variety of starters can also be shared.
The Portenlänger siblings have created a contemporary pub here. Young and old, locals and tourists, regulars' table and bar table: everyone is happy here with Bavarian food.
The Spatenhaus opposite the opera house on May-Joseph-Platz is certainly one of the best places in Munich for traditional Bavarian cuisine. But the selection of classics and vegetarian dishes also holds its own.
Barbara and Shane McMahon run the historically idyllic Asam Schlössl with a big host's heart. Regional dishes, grilled steaks, draught beer and a fine selection of wines are served.
Here you will find true connoisseur rarities: kidneys, brawn and linguine are all finely prepared and are served with seasonal vegetables and great sauces, just like the fish and vegetarian dishes.
At the famous Munich Platzl, the Inselkammer family runs a lovingly managed pub with beer from their own traditional brewery. It also serves fresh delicacies with ingredients from the region.
Special attention should be paid to the daily recommendations on the slate boards above the kitchen. From the "Schweinszüngerl" to the "Voressen", you can enjoy real Altmünchen cuisine here - and, of course, beer on tap.
Meatballs and beer are not only an unbeatable combination, they are also a tradition at Zwickl. Of course, they are now also available in a plant-based version, alongside other Bavarian delicacies.
It couldn't be more central: the rustic and cozy pub offers an excellent view of the Frauenkirche while enjoying Bavarian specialties and a good selection of Andechs beer (and wine!).
