The red wine Faial Merlot Garda DOC, vintage 2001 from the winery Prendina has been rated in 2006 with Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Merlot from the region Lombardia in Italy.
Very dark, opaque color. Delicately oxidative note, dried fruit aroma, smoky and mineral, dark berries. Very full-bodied and sweet on the palate, some Turkish honey, relatively dominant sweetness, supported by cloves. Powerful and with good length, but more of a meditation wine, a sweet wine.
