The red wine Pays d’Hérault IGP La Grange de Père, vintage 2017 from the winery Domaine de la Grange des Pères has been rated in 2020 by Peter Moser with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Languedoc-Roussillon in France.
Strong crimson garnet, violet tints, broader ochre light rim. Nuances of candied violets and liquorice over dark forest berry jam, fine dry herbs, mineral touch, fresh figs. Juicy, elegant, seems quite light on its feet, ripe plums, silky tannins, mineral and viscous, a hint of nougat on the finish, accessible and youthful, taut on the finish, will benefit from further bottle ageing.
