The red wine Madonnino della Pieve Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, vintage 2015 from the winery Fattoria di Castelvecchi has been rated in 2020 by Simon Staffler, Othmar Kiem with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Dark, rich ruby red. Clear wood spice paired with nuances of blackberry and black elderberry, light mint. On the palate concentrated and compact, spreads out nicely, however, shows a tad too much wood, best to allow to age further.
