The Red Wine Mahâris Syrah Sicilia DOC, vintage 2021 from the winery Feudo Maccari has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Syrah from the region Sicily in Italy.
Dark luminous ruby red. Noble use of wood shows on the nose, alongside a finely spiced character of black pepper and crushed black currant. Sour cherries and dried flowers emerge on the echo. On the palate it's grippy and vivid, with a cool fruit core and tight tannins. Finishes on finely salty notes.
