The red wine »Der Rote« trocken, vintage 2019 from the winery Weingut Lithos has been rated in 2020 by Ulrich Sautter with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Schwarzriesling, Pinot Noir from the region Mittelrhein in Germany.
Sweet cherry, cherry stones and some slight spontaneous fermentation notes. On the palate there is an elegant structure: lots of juice, fine-grained tannins in a rather restrained extracted amount, a beautiful Pinot fruit. A simple Pinot without much fuss and exactly for that reason - really noble.
