Claudy Clavien established the Cave des Champs winery in 1986 and has been meticulously dedicated to exploring the terroir from the very beginning. Each grape variety should enjoy the perfect location for it, as Clavien, who now works at the estate together with his daughter Shadia, believes this is the only way to produce wines of the highest quality. Efforts are also made to ensure that the vineyards are cultivated sustainably. The wines made from indigenous Valais varieties such as Cornalin are particularly noteworthy.
