Casa Newton was built in 1846 by Gervasio Newton, a descendant of Isaac Newton, and today attracts guests with luxurious vintage interiors, a picturesque pool, and family warmth. The owner's family lovingly takes care of the guests of the small hotel, which promises privacy and pure tranquility with eleven rooms and suites. The red villa sits picturesquely on a hill in Pienza and overlooks the 35-hectare Fabbrica Pienza winery, which also belongs to the owning family. The medieval town of Montepulciano is just a stone's throw away. Pienza or Lake Trasimeno are also inviting for excursions. Cyclists love the region, especially in autumn, when temperatures are pleasant for tours.

Neben den Tapeten und Vorhängen sind einige der Möbelstücke selbst designed und maßangefertigt und deshalb gleicht kein Zimmer dem anderen. Überall an den Wänden findet man Kunstwerke und Bilder, die dem Haus gemütlichen Charme verleihen. Hochwertige Beauty-Produkte auf den Zimmern sorgen für das gewisse Extra. Fernseher sucht man in den Zimmern vergeblich, hier wartet im “Wohnzimmer” des Hauses eine gemütliche Sofa-Landschaft mit Fernseher auf gemeinsame Film-Abende. Oder man setzt sich an den originalen Vintage-Spieltisch und leiht sich eines der vorhandenen Spiele aus.
Ganz dem “Farm to Table” Konzept entsprechend, serviert man in der Casa Newton regionale und frische Speisen – aus dem eigenen Garten oder aus der direkten Umgebung. Morgens wählt man am kleinen Buffet zwischen Yogurt aus Büffel- oder Kuhmilch, Früchten, selbstgemachtem Granola oder lässt sich Eggs Benedict frisch zubereiten – das Brot backt die Küchenchefin Sara Scaramella übrigens selbst. Leckere Kekse oder Törtchen sorgen für den süßen Start in den Tag. Das abendliche Menü variiert saisonal, die Weinbegleitung kommt vom hauseigenen Weingut, auf Wunsch spaziert man den Hügel hinunter zur Verkostung. Vom Aperitiv mit dem PetNat “Popnat” bis zum roten Sangiovese – die Weine sind biozertifiziert und schmecken vorzüglich. Ein Highlight ist auch die Bar des Hauses – nicht nur durch das Design. Der Casa Newton Spritz mit dem hauseigenen PetNat eignet sich perfekt, um den Tag ausklingen zu lassen.
Since the house is a listed building, nothing was changed in the facade and the walls of the house. Even the red color of the facade was kept. Instead, the interior of the house convinces with its 70s flair. On hot days the pool with pink sunshades tempts you to cool down. From the edge of the pool there's a fantastic panorama over the vines and olive trees of the area. At every corner you'll find small special features. A highlight is also the old chapel of the house - it was repainted by an artist inside.
