ESC 2026: The best places for public viewing in Vienna
Numerous public viewing locations, watch parties and events invite you to experience the Eurovision Song Contest together. From large fan zones to special indoor and outdoor spots, here you will find all the places where you can watch the ESC final and semi-finals live in Vienna.
In May, Vienna is in ESC fever: when the Eurovision Song Contest comes to the city, the whole capital is transformed into a huge stage full of music, fans and a shared atmosphere. Everywhere there are events, public viewings and program points around the biggest music show in Europe.
The center of the competition is the Wiener Stadthallewhere the live shows take place:

- Second semi-final: May 14, 2026
- Grand Final: May 16, 2026
As tickets for the arena sell out quickly, numerous public viewing spots in Vienna offer the opportunity to experience the ESC live and celebrate together with other fans. A selection:
Eurovision Village on Rathausplatz - the heart of the ESC in Vienna
The largest and best-known public viewing takes place on Vienna's Rathausplatz. This is where the so-called Eurovision Village will be located, which will be open throughout the entire ESC week. All the big shows are broadcast live here - i.e. the two semi-finals and the grand final. There will also be a colorful supporting program with concerts, DJs and ESC acts.

Vienna Volksoper
A special alternative is the Volksoper Vienna. There, the final will be shown in a real theater hall on a big screen. Admission is free, but free tickets will be available online and at the Volksoper box office from May 9, 2026 at 10 a.m.
There will also be three "ESC Singalong" events in the week before the final, where fans can sing along to well-known Eurovision hits and classics from the past decades.

WIENXTRA Cinemagic
Another public viewing for the ESC final will take place at the "WIENXTRA-Cinemagic" in the Urania. As part of the youth program series "Salty Cinema", the final will be shown there together in the cinema hall on a big screen. In addition to the live broadcast, a colorful supporting program in the foyer with a photo station, frish station and chill-out lounge will provide additional atmosphere and opportunities for exchange. The offer is aimed particularly at teenagers and young adults, admission is free.

Ottakringer Brewery
The "Ottakringer Brauerei" in the 16th district is also hosting a large public viewing of the ESC final. On May 16, the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest will be broadcast there on a big screen so that visitors can watch the final together in a more festival-like atmosphere.
On May 15, there will also be a "Disco Night" as an unofficial warm-up to the final with music from the Eurovision and pop genres.

Votive Cinema
There will also be a public viewing of the ESC final at the Votiv Kino. The cinema will be showing the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 live on the big screen – in a classic cinema atmosphere with popcorn and everything that goes with it. Admission is from 8 p.m., the preliminary TV reports will be shown from 8.15 p.m., and the live broadcast from the Wiener Stadthalle.
Admission is free and places are allocated on a first come, first serve basis — so it's best to arrive early.

Auersperg Palace
Soccer fans may remember the location from the last European Championships: Palais Auersperg was already a popular spot for public viewing in Vienna two years ago. Now the Eurovision Song Contest is also being shown there — in the baroque garden in the 8th district. In bad weather we go inside. All three shows will be shown live.

The Loft
The Eurovision Song Contest will also be shown live in "The Loft " this year. The Bar auf dem Gürtel is an official partner and will be showing both semi-finals and the Grand Final in a more relaxed setting in the café area. At the "Hotel Schani Wien Hauptbahnhof", the ESC will become a living room session for fans: both semi-finals and the grand final will be watched together here.

Vindobona
The Eurovision Song Contest will be shown on several evenings at the "Vindobona" on Wallensteinplatz in the 20th district. In addition to the grand final on Saturday, the two semi-finals on Tuesday and Thursday can also be watched together on the big screen.
The final evening in particular will be a little bigger: There will be a pre-show before the actual public viewing, after which the Grand Final will be shown live. Afterwards, the evening will continue with an ESC party, including live acts and an additional program.

Freiherz & Salettl on campus
All three live shows of the Eurovision Song Contest will be shown in the "Freiherz" and the "Salettl am Campus" in the Old General Hospital on Alser Straße. Together with Radio Wien, the location in the 9th district will become a large ESC meeting place outdoors and in the courtyard area.

Track//Garden
All three shows of the Eurovision Song Contest will be broadcast live on a big screen in the "Gleis//Garten" in the 12th district. The location in the former rail track area provides a rather relaxed public viewing atmosphere with a food hall, drinks and plenty of space to watch and cheer. The matches start at 8.15 pm - whether semi-final or final.

Hermann beach bar
It starts early in the evening at the "Strandbar Hermann" from 6 p.m.: Before the broadcasts, there will be karaoke and a short musical journey through 70 years of ESC history. The semi-finals and final will then be broadcast live on the big screen (with English presentation).

Veranda Brasserie & Bar
In the "Veranda Brasserie & Bar" in the Hotel Sans Souci, the Eurovision Song Contest will be shown in a somewhat quieter, more stylish setting. On all three show evenings, there will be public viewing in an elegant atmosphere away from the large fan zones. On both semi-final days, the evening will start with a cocktail tasting before the live broadcast begins. Various signature drinks will be presented, thematically based on the diversity of Europe.
