Stellagalan 2026 Honors Sweden’s Leading Women in Gastronomy
Sweden’s gastronomy industry gathered at Sergel Hub in Stockholm on May 4 for the ninth edition of Stellagalan, the annual awards spotlighting women shaping the country’s culinary scene.
The Winners of Stellagalan 2026
This year’s gala celebrated professionals across nine categories, recognizing achievements in baking, pastry, wine, service, media and hospitality leadership.
Among the evening’s standout winners was chef Jessie Sommarström, awarded Stellakock 2026 for her work combining sustainability, leadership and inclusive gastronomy through Sodexo and Sommarström & Grimlund in Stockholm.
Paris-based bartender Mary Benadet of Bar Nouveau received the Stellabartender 2026 title, highlighting the growing international influence of Swedish bar culture. Sommelier Frida Winters of Stockholm’s Adam/Albin was named Stellasommelier 2026.
Other winners included baker Fanny Ivarsson, pastry chef Josefin Gauffin, hospitality professional Emelie Farkhooi, mentor Sabina Eriksson and food writer Malin Turunen.

Honorary Recognition
The honorary Stella Award was presented to Lotta Bonthelius for her long-standing contribution to Sweden’s restaurant industry and her efforts to create opportunities for future generations in gastronomy.
A Platform for Equality in Gastronomy
Founded in 2018, Stellagalan has become an important platform for equality and mentorship within Swedish gastronomy, working to increase visibility for women across the industry.
