Four Seasons to Open First Nordic Hotel in Copenhagen
Luxury hospitality group Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has announced its first-ever hotel in the Nordic region, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s European expansion. Scheduled to open in 2028, the new property will be located in Copenhagen’s historic Laksegade Quarter, just steps from Kongens Nytorv.
The hotel will occupy part of the former headquarters of Danske Bank, within a landmark mixed-use redevelopment led by Thylander and KanAm Grund Group. Once completed, the project will transform an area that has been closed to the public for nearly 150 years into a vibrant district combining hospitality, offices, retail and public spaces.
Expected to feature more than 100 rooms across approximately 22,000 sqm, the hotel will be operated by Four Seasons as a tenant, supported by an investor consortium. Located near Nyhavn, the Royal Danish Theatre, the Danish Parliament and the National Bank, the property is set to become one of Copenhagen’s most prestigious luxury addresses.
The opening will introduce the Four Seasons brand to Scandinavia for the first time and further strengthen Copenhagen’s position as one of Europe’s most attractive luxury travel destinations.
