Grammy winner, Super Bowl star—and a devoted foodie: We reveal Bad Bunny’s favorite dish and show you how to make it at home.

Bad Bunny is literally everywhere right now. Fresh off his win for Album of the Year at the 2026 Grammy Awards, the global superstar also took center stage at the Super Bowl Halftime Show last weekend. Amid the whirlwind of accolades, appearances, and stadium-sized performances, there’s one subject that particularly piques our interest: his love of food.

In an interview with Spanish streamer Ibai Llanos, Bad Bunny put it simply: “I love to eat. But I try to live healthily and only eat hamburgers or pizza every now and then.” His tastes are eclectic and refreshingly down-to-earth. He starts his day with coffee, has a well-documented weakness for cornflakes with milk—something he admits he has to limit, or he’ll finish “the whole box”—and counts coconut-based desserts and sushi among his favorites.

A Hearty Puerto Rican Dish

If there’s one dish Bad Bunny truly calls his own, it’s arroz con salchichas, a popular comfort food from his native Puerto Rico. At the heart of the dish is sofrito, the aromatic backbone of Puerto Rican cooking, made from ají dulce peppers, culantro (a close relative of cilantro), onions, garlic, and herbs. This fragrant base is combined with tomato paste, broth, rice, sausage, and sazón con achiote, a spice blend that gives the dish its signature golden hue and subtly earthy flavor.

How to Make Arroz con Salchichas

To make arroz con salchichas at home, start by lightly browning the sausage in a large pan or pot. Add the sofrito and sauté briefly, then stir in tomato paste, sazón, bay leaf, salt, and pepper. Stir in the rice, pour in water or stock, and bring everything to a boil. Reduce the heat and let it simmer gently for about 20 minutes, until the rice has absorbed the liquid. Let it rest for a few minutes, fluff with a fork, and serve.

Bad Bunny, the Restaurateur

Food isn’t just a passion—it’s also part of Bad Bunny’s business ventures. In Miami, he co-owns Gekko, a Japanese-inspired steakhouse created with hospitality entrepreneur David Grutman. The restaurant blends Japanese techniques with Latin American and tropical influences, offering dishes like Japanese milk bread with saikyo miso butter, crispy Wagyu dumplings, oak-smoked chicken, hotate tiradito, and lobster XO fried rice.

From Puerto Rican comfort food to high-end dining, Bad Bunny’s culinary tastes are as wide-ranging and compelling as his music.
