Bakoš Bistro, the first designer bistro in the city, has established itself in Košice and is writing its own success story. It bears the name of chef Matej Bakoš, who was awarded the title of Young Chef of the Year 2024 in Slovakia. His cuisine is based on honest, first-class ingredients with an emphasis on quality from local Slovak producers, thanks to which he is able to conjure up a symphony of flavors on the plate. Seasonality, locality, freshness, aesthetics - when these four pillars are combined, Matej Bakoš's signature stands out. The bistro does not play around with anything, but plays with a modern presentation of classic recipes and the chef has a great imagination, and the plating is always interesting and pleasing to the eye.
