On May 28, Villa Valentina opens at Mälarterrassen in Stockholm’s Slussen district, bringing a new Spanish-Mediterranean dining destination to the Swedish capital. Developed by Urban Italian Group, the restaurant marks one of Stockholm’s largest hospitality openings in recent years.

Set in a standalone waterfront building with panoramic views over Gamla Stan and Stockholm’s archipelago entrance, Villa Valentina offers nearly 400 seats, including a 150-seat terrace designed for long lunches, aperitivo hours and late-night dining.

The concept draws inspiration from Andalusia and the Mediterranean lifestyle, pairing warm Spanish aesthetics with a contemporary urban atmosphere. Mosaic floors, hand-painted walls and Murano glass lighting frame an open kitchen and bar at the center of the space.

The menu focuses on Spanish-inspired sharing plates with Mediterranean influences, featuring dishes such as gambas with sobrasada, octopus with chorizo and salsa verde, and pluma ibérico. Desserts include Basque cheesecake with browned butter and rum-infused dulce de leche.

A carefully curated wine list and Mediterranean-inspired cocktail program complete the experience, positioning Villa Valentina as one of Stockholm’s most anticipated restaurant openings this season.
