The Tenuta delle Terre Nere estate is located on the northern slopes of Mount Etna, in the hilly strip between Solicchiata and Randazzo, a preferred area for red wines. The estate covers around 45 hectares, divided into 29 parcels. The soils are of varying composition, as is their altitude, which is between 600 and 1,000 metres above sea level. With the exception of around 7 hectares that have only recently been planted, the remaining vineyards are between 50 and 100 years old. Less than one hectare is over 140 years old, has survived phylloxera and is therefore ungrafted.
