Distinguished and restrained nose with white flowers, yellow fruit, apricot, mirabelle, also some resin, dried fruit and spices. Well-structured palate with fine yellow fruit (apricot), some honeydew melon, not vinified for power but emphasising elegance, firm core, has traction and also a fine mineral, chalky undercoat with phenolics on the finish. Very stylish, shows certain ageing potential.
More about the tastingYellow stone fruit on the nose, plus pear and melon, with spicy and smoky components. Energetic and dry on the palate, leading to a long spicy finish. This is inspired by Burgundy, and it is a perfect expression of Ingelheim character.
