Brilliant ruby red with a slight brightening on the rim. Somewhat restrained on the nose, soot, some tar, porcini mushrooms. Develops beautifully on the palate, lots of juicy, vivid berry fruit, fresh, grippy tannins, slightly brittle on the finish.
