The port Quinta da Oliveirinha Vintage Port DOC, vintage 2016 from the winery Alves de Sousa has been rated in 2018 by Peter Moser with 90 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barocca from the region Douro in Portugal.
Dark ruby colour, purple reflections, delicate edge brightening. Dried plums with herbal and savoury undertones, some nougat and candied orange zest, sweet spices, some liquorice. Medium complexity, ripe cherries, vivid tannins, dried fruit on the finish, appears accessible and already developed, cassis and figs, nougat on the finish, rather uncomplicated style.
