The red wine Brunello di Montalcino Riserva DOCG, vintage 2012 from the winery La Fortuna has been rated in 2018 by Othmar Kiem with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Brilliant ruby garnet. Very intense and inviting nose, classic notes of ripe raspberries, pickled cherries and plums, with some leather in the background. Juicy and salty, plays up magnificently, ripe, crisp fruit notes, then plenty of fine-mesh tannin, long finish.
