The red wine Barolo Riserva DOCG Bussia, vintage 2017 from the winery Barale Fratelli has been rated in 2023 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Barolo in Italy.
Clear garnet red with a dark core. Opens on the nose with notes of truffle and liquorice, some smoky components, then lots of plums, fine savouriness. Full-bodied and hearty in the attack and on the palate, lots of ripe fruit, unfortunately a little rough in the finish, dries out.
