The red wine Amarone Classico della Valpolicella, vintage 1969 from the winery Bertani has been rated in 2022 by Othmar Kiem & Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points.
Shiny, dark garnet with a slightly orange rim. Aroma of rose hip jelly, dried tomato, prune and lots of dark cherry. Grippy, vivid tannins, a slight hint of dark chocolate, long finish, firm drive, can still age for a long time.
