Herbal and spicy aroma: hyssop, thyme, chervil. Comparatively restrained wood. Immediate presence on the palate, intimately fused: juiciness, nerve, fine-grained tannin and mature fruit. Combines length and intensity with aromatic complexity. Round, supple finish. Almost too fine for a meal - but the right wine to round off a barbecue evening.
