The red wine Sarmassa Barolo DOCG, vintage 2008 from the winery Brezza dal 1885 has been rated in 2012 with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Barolo in Italy.
Brilliant, rich garnet red. Open and accessible nose, very fragrant, lots of sour cherry and raspberry, fine spices in the background. Round and supple on the palate, lots of ripe raspberry fruit, then opens up with fine-grained tannins, warm and round, very long finish, subtle spice.
