Clear, intense ruby with a slight purple tinge. Very precise multi layered and intense aromas of rich, dark currant, some blueberry, with tobacco and bay leaf in the background. Schmaltzy and round on the palate with rich, plump fruit, lots of fine grained tannins and sweet texture. A very long finish, lush.
