The red wine Caiarossa Toscana IGT, vintage 2017 from the winery Caiarossa has been rated in 2020 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Sangiovese, Petit Verdot, Alicante Bouschet from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Powerful, bright ruby violet. Opens with notes of graphite and tobacco, rich dark berries, above all blueberry and elderberry, some eucalyptus. Also shows a lot of tobacco on the palate, unfolds with grippy tannin, deep, earthy notes, some tomato paste, firm drive on the finish, but also drying, would certainly benefit for ageing.
