The red wine Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova DOCG, vintage 1997 from the winery Casanova di Neri has been rated in 2018 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 95 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright ruby with a broad garnet rim. Intense, clearly marked nose of ripe blackberries, plums and cardamom. Lush and rich on the palate, displaying rich, ripe fruit and a juicy acidity, fine texture, very long on the finish and with serious traction, seems - especially compared to others from this vintage - amazingly young with a very long finish.
