The red wine Colombaio Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, vintage 2019 from the winery Cava d'Onice has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright ruby red with brightening edges. Appealing nose, herbs, distinct oregano, opens up to rich berryish fruit and damp earth. Juicy notion on the palate, with clear fruit and good texture, finely-meshed tannins, also shows a certain tension, with a subtle after-dry finish.
