Tasting Notes
Medium yellow-gold, bronze shimmers, extremely delicate but lively mousse. A slight oxidate touch underlaid by hints of orange zest, light caramel, some nougat, and cocoa, with blackcurrants and licorice notes swaying in the background and fine toasty aromas. Ample freshness with more air contact. Juicy, white apple notes, racy-brine structure, elegantly expressive and complex, a hint of coconut and malt, good length and freshness in the finish. A delicate and filigree perception thanks to its citrus aspects, chalky-mineral notes dominate on the finish. A very distinctive Champagne, whereby nose and palate tell two different stories. Roederer's Champagne version of the strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hdye.
