Tasting Notes
Dark ruby, purple reflections, subtle brightening on the rim, fresh wild black berry fruit and cherries, subtle wood spice, very subtle dried fruit and candied orange zest. Juicy, black cherries, currants, ripe tannins, elegant, subtle chocolaty touch on the finish, mineral, has length, but definitely still needs time.
More about the tastingDeep dark ruby garnet, violet reflections, delicate edge brightening, dark berry fruit underlaid with delicate nougat, a hint of damp undergrowth, some dried fruit. Complex, black forest berry confit, taut tannins, fresh acidity, salty-mineral finish, subtle vegetal spice in the aftertaste, appears somewhat over-extracted. Not yet convincing at this early stage.
