The red wine Funtanì Barbera d'Alba Superiore DOC, vintage 2016 from the winery Cordero di Montezemolo has been rated in 2019 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 92 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Barbera from the region Piedmont in Italy.
Rich, elegant purple colour. On the nose inviting aromas of rich dark berry, blackberry and ripe wild berry, and with cassis on the background. On the palate it is balanced and very juicy, the fruit is nicely integrated with finely woven tannins, as it develops on the tongue it is rich and soft, and it has a punchy finish.
