Tasting Notes
Medium carmine garnet, violet core, ruby reflections, broad ochre rim. Initially delicate caramel notes on the nose, sweet wild berry confit, a hint of orange zest, some licorice, underlaid with a delicate hint of truffle. Sweet on the palate, soft, silky texture, red berry fruit, delicate hints of violets. Then a surprise: slightly dry, somewhat leafy tannins, but with a sweet nougat fruit, ethereal mint notes and a fine minerality, long sweet finish. I don't dare to say how strong the vegetal note in the backbone of the wine will be in the future, but it is unlikely to have a negative effect on its ageing potential.
