Tasting Notes
Wax, candied lime peel and toast immediately announce the maturity. The palate is rounded, has attained a most fluid, rich texture, basks in concentration as well as freshness. This is living proof that these wines deserve to age. There is creaminess and absolute freshness, too. Really long, really expressive.
More about the tastingFrom vines planted in 1936, the nose here shows just a touch of reduction and smokiness. Underneath that is a hint of ripe, juicy, yellow pear. The palate has a rounded, more generous nature that envelopes everything in gentleness, there is a kiss of oak, but absolutely buoyed by a lovely streak of lemon. All of this is understated, but definitely there. Listen to it.
