Vinifikation: Merlot (80 %) – Cabernet Sauvignon (20 %). 14 Monate gereift – 50 % in neuen Barriques, 25 % in Zweitbelegung und 25 % in Fünftbelegung. Eigenschaften Diese Cuvée aus zwei der Hauptrebsorten des Bordeaux zeigt eine schöne kirschrote Farbe und eine feine, offene Nase mit Aromen von schwarzen Früchten wie Brombeere, Heidelbeere sowie Noten von Johannisbeere und Lakritze. Am Gaumen samtig, mit frischer Säure und noch präsenten, aber gut eingebundenen Tanninen, die sich harmonisch mit der Frucht verbinden. Kann noch 4 bis 5 Jahre reifen, ist aber bereits jetzt sehr angenehm zu trinken. Gastronomie: Begleitet hervorragend rotes Fleisch, Wildgerichte oder Hartkäse. Lagerung: Kann noch 4 bis 5 Jahre gelagert werden, schmeckt jedoch schon jetzt hervorragend, wenn er eine Stunde vor dem Genuss dekantiert wird. Serviertemperatur: 16–18 °C
