Tasting Notes
Dark ruby garnet, good depth of color, purple reflections, brightening to the rim. Tobacco backed herbal savouriness, DELICATE noble oak touch, juicy dark berry fruit, nuances of cassis and licorice, but also hints of nougat and cardamom. Substantial, pronounced fruit texture, elegant body, fine integrated acidity, supporting but ripe tannins, ripe plum fruit in the aftertaste, lingers long, is already very drinkable at this relatively early stage, good forward ageing potential.
More about the tastingLots of wood, caramel, seems artificial. Mushroom, shrivelled cherry, dried fig, with air contact also cassis. Extremely soft attack, viscous-oily, remains silky to sandy throughout the palate, viscous-crumbly, very tight start and then picks up speed, sweetly balanced acidity. Somehow sweetish, but on the other hand also elegantly tactile and mineral. (Panel rating: 96.8)
