Tasting Notes
The still incredibly fresh aroma combines citrus and yeasty flavours, with notes of hay, apple and bitter herbs in the glass. The mousse rolls on in a very cultivated manner, fine without being pungent, mellowed by ageing on the lees. Ripe acidity and a distinctly intense tactile minerality complete the picture of a carefully composed flint wine with length and depth.
More about the tastingStrong yellow colour with a fine foaming mousse. Needs some time to develop, then fine yeast aromas of brioche and buttered toast appear, along with dried apricots, figs, candied ginger, pear tart, vanilla and toast, complemented by chamomile and herbal notes. Distinctly dry on the palate, with grown-up flavours of undergrowth, moss and candied fruit, plus an intense yeasty aroma. An elegant crémant characterised by yeast ageing.
