The white wine Casteller Schlossberg Silvaner Beerenauslese, vintage 1976 from the winery Fürstlich Castell’sche Domäne has been rated in 2018 by Rainer Schäfer with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Grüner Sylvaner from the region Franconia in Germany.
Mocha color, the multilayered and lush bouquet features aromas of malt, caramel, white nougat and pine needles. Generous and concentrated on the palate, with plenty of substance but also vital and with a rich array of spices. Finishes with subtle TARTNESS and spiciness. Still very vivid, a great Beerenauslese.
