The sekt »Prestige« Rosé extra brut, vintage 2020 from the winery Griesel & Compagnie has been rated in 2025 by Ulrich Sautter with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Pinot Noir from the region Hessische Bergstraße in Germany.
Light salmon pink colour. Very berry on the nose: garriguette strawberry, raspberry, sweet cherry, with a slight patina of ripeness. In the mouth, the wine has a full-bodied fruit, a mild mousse, it flows smoothly and harmoniously and appears very balanced. With time in the glass, more and more mineral and almost iodine flavours come to the fore.
More about the tastingSalmon pink in colour. On the nose, there is a hint of tertiary notes as well as the aroma of grated apple, mallow and rose hip. On the palate, the wine flows roundly and discreetly, carried by delicate phenolics and an ultra-fine mousse. The acidity carries without being isolated. A wonderful aperitif!
