The red wine Ipsus Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, vintage 2018 from the winery Il Caggio has been rated in 2025 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 96 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Bright ruby red with a delicately brightening rim. Cedar wood and cherry on the nose, along with fine marzipan and a hint of dried rose petal. Opens polished and clear on the palate, with exciting, salty tones, compact acidity with a delicately perceptible use of wood adorns the bouquet, appears very energetic and radiant, will mature well.
