The red wine Südtirol Sanct Valentin Lagrein DOC, vintage 2007 from the winery Kellerei St. Michael-Eppan has been rated in 2012 with 91 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Lagrein from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Sparkling, rich ruby. Opens on the nose with smoky, roasted notes, some hazelnut, then lots of beet and plums. Very juicy in the attack and on the palate, then opens up with fine-meshed tannins, dense, finely melting on the finish, long finish.
