The white wine Appius Weiss Südtirol DOC, vintage 2019 from the winery Kellerei St. Michael-Eppan has been rated in 2024 by Othmar Kiem, Simon Staffler with 98 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Bianco, Sauvignon Blanc from the region Alto Adige in Italy.
Clear, rich straw yellow, delicate green notes. Intense and inviting nose, initially of cold smoke and beeswax, followed by pineapple and ripe pineapple, some basil in the background. Shows great radiance in the attack, lots of juicy fruit, unfolds with full drive, beautiful interplay between yellow fruit and a slight bitter component on the finish.
