The red wine Cannubi Boschis Barolo DOCG, vintage 2008 from the winery Luciano Sandrone has been rated in 2018 by Martin Kilchmann with 99 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Nebbiolo from the region Barolo in Italy.
Clear, lively garnet. Open and accessible nose with beautiful, matured notes of liquorice, lots of raspberry, tobacco, very inviting. Unfolds on the palate with rich, fine-meshed tannin, builds up multilayered, salty and profound, beautiful, ripe fruit, very long finish. It is just at the beginning of its full glory, very polished.
More about the tastingBrilliant, rich ruby in colour. On the nose, considerable and impressive fruit: full of plum and dark cherry, underpinned by cocoa, and bay leaf in the background. Compact and dense on the palate, one layer of tannin follows another, juicy, with noticeable acidity, supremely elegant, very long and polished.
More about the tastingSparkling, vibrant ruby in colour. Inviting, compact and clear on the nose, with intense aromas of raspberry and blackberry, and some truffle and cardamom in the background. There is lots of compact fruit on the palate too, which unfolds with rich, fine-meshed tannins, building up in a multi-layered way, saline and profound, with a very long finish.
