The red wine Chianti Classico DOCG Gran Selezione Badia a Passignano, vintage 2012 from the winery Marchesi Antinori has been rated in 2017 by Othmar Kiem with 94 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Sangiovese from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Rich, deep dark ruby with garnet glints. Very intense and penetrating nose with notes of preserved cherries and plums and background notes of liquorice. Ample substance and salinity on the palate displaying rich plum notes and revealing grippy tannins and superb suppleness.
