Tasting Notes
Rich, dark ruby violet. Emphatically savoury nose, some celery leaf and bay leaf, then rich blackberry, some tobacco. Lots of presence on the palate, savoury aromas dominate there as well, also dark berry fruit, opens up with grippy, hearty tannin, very long.
More about the tastingRich, deep dark ruby colour with a fine purple sheen. Dense and precise nose, initially showing lots of tobacco, then rich dark redcurrant flavours, vivid without being overpowering, a distinguished gentleman. Polished and fine-meshed on the palate, as if from a single mould, rich blackcurrant and blackberry notes, fine-grained, firm tannins, very long finish.
