Somewhat closed on the nose, grapey notes, a a hint of large wooden barrel and a background, liquorice-like savouriness. Taut on the palate, with firm acidity, medium-bodied in texture and volume, juicy, yet very dry. Needs a year of bottle ageing to fully enrich the festive table.
