Rich, dark ruby. Compact nose with notes of cherry jam, some elderberries, followed by fine licorice notes. Hearty and gripping on the palate, shows plenty of ripe cherry fruit, unfolds with powerful, gripping tannins, with a firm bite on the finish. Reference: www.mezzacorona.it; n. A.
