Candied walnuts, orange peel, cloves, ripe pears and reine claude plum on the powerful nose, also quince and stewed quince. It must have been ripe grapes that were processed here; powerful and sturdy on the palate, dense extract, powerful, the alcohol is integrated, down-to-earth, mellow phenolics, sweetish core, good length. Great with rich dishes.
