The red wine Gabbro Costa Toscana IGT, vintage 2018 from the winery Montepeloso has been rated in 2021 by Othmar Kiem und Simon Staffler with 97 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape variety Cabernet Sauvignon from the region Tuscany in Italy.
Dark ruby. On the nose noble and balsamic, initially with mint, milk chocolate, green pepper, dark berry fruit and cassis, and a hint of pine needles in the background. Great texture on the palate, dense and elegant at the same time, radiant fruit coated with tightly meshed tannin and has tension and great length. The year of bottle ageing has served the wine very well.
