Deep dark ruby, opaque core, purple reflections, delicate brightening on the rim. Penfolds through and through, the benchmark in terms of Cabernet Sauvignon from Australia. Floral underpinnings with notes of lavender and tobacco, hints of black olive and dark berries, some graphite. Very complex and mouth-filling, characterized by precise freshness and ripe, supporting tannins, fine nougat on the finish, mineral and long lasting with multifaceted aromatics. Excellent ageing potential. (2025 to 2050).
