Dark purple, with the first signs of ageing. Noble nose with notes of plum, dried fruit such as figs and a distinctive woody savouriness that blends perfectly with the fruit. Also some cinnamon and cocoa. Powerful and broad on the palate, again with pronounced savouriness, some shoe polish and dried-fruit nuances. Medium-fine tannins, and ripe, harmonizing acidity. Finishes long and with umami notes.
