The cava Raventós i Blanc De Nit, vintage 2020 has been rated in 2022 by Anne Krebiehl with 93 Falstaff points. It is a wine made from the grape varieties Xarel-lo, Macabeu, Parellada, Monastrell from the region Conca del Riu Anoia in Spain.
A whiff of flint rises from the glass, clouding the scent of red berries in subtle smokiness. The palate comes in with subtle, creamy foam that lends a beautiful gentleness to the palate. While there is lemon freshness there is a hint of dark, beautifully brooding, aromatic fruit. A lovely balance and subtle, almost powdery dryness characterise this extra brut wine. The finish holds a notion of Red Delicious apples. Wonderful.
